Prop Poetry

There is one type of writing or form in poetry where you can freely express your thoughts in a different form or format. I call it "prop" poetry. A given one-word title of the poem or a phrase is the subject matter. Make a description of the given word or phrase with parallelism and/or contrasting ideas or thoughts in each line and end the last line with just one word, but doesn't have to be a one-syllable word.

If you are familiar with photopoetry or shape (concrete) poem, we illustrate the subject of the poem in a consistent way as we explore the notion itself in a longer format.

Prop poetry can be written in a single line or up to 100 lines if you want to. Each line doesn't have to start with a capital letter. Each line can be expressed in lower case.

You can also create your own poem in any shape or format that you wish.

We write with simplicity to inspire with a great sense of pride.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

A miner's lung disease
deadly, but treatable.
Symptomatic
curable
Well.

        My Sweetheart

lovely and compassionate
  lively and never impersonate
    loquacious, but not vicious
      gentle and cautious
         sweet

Poetry

Your soul that speaks
   your heart that leaks
      hot or cold
            bold

Rain

under the nimbus clouds in bouts
    with torn umbrella that pouts
     furious and unstoppable
  flood in tears immeasurable
      drenched in the mud
        clenched like a bud
                     wet

Fireworks
