Proof of Love

How the breath of Love has touched my heart
though not worthy to look upon it's face
Never from it's embrace should I depart
It has cleansed the crimson of disgrace

Now the halls of Merlin have been cast down
their sacrifices you do not recieve
upon the temples of the pagans do you frown
even though profess they do believe

The temple of the heart is where you dwell
and in the work of those whose hands are clean
not in the churches who believe in hell
and produce a people who are mean

Where ritual and idols meant to fool
with words and voices meant to sooth
and palliative of teaching is it's tool
an emollient which do not sins remove

Does not the knowledge of your heart within
the priests who shadow flocks in fear
show you these are the works of men
and to God they never will draw near

Love does have a form of rule
that we should always speak the truth
to be kind and good to you
by behavior will be your proof

Every good tree is known by it's fruit
by their fruit you shall know them. Jesus
