Promises To Keep
We are but children of this earth and sky,
Sworn to yield to one another's yearning;
We are but visions in a lucid eye,
Reflections cast bilaterally burning.
We are the interlocking of the twins,
Pledged unto a blissful undertaking;
We are a fusion where new life begins,
A union of wonder in the making.
We are the infant dreamers of this day,
Proud in optimism and defiance;
We are the voice with hallowed vows to say,
Togetherness, as one in self-reliance.
We are but lovers in idyllic trust,
Collective souls in wakefulness and sleep;
We are but sacred grains of cosmic dust
With hearts and minds and promises to keep.
