Listen to poem:

Promises Made Out of Sight

Promises Made Out of Sight
David J Walker

The projection on the wall of
Solid imagination
The illumination
of what might be
tomorrow

a day of sorrow
a day of borrowed joy
a day that employs
furloughed friends on
borrowed time

I rise early in anticipation
Believing the moon will set
And the sun will rise
As yesterday’s page turns
Into tomorrow’s light

The illustrations are vague
But such is the stuff of
Promises made
Out of sight

I'm trying to comprehend why your poetry doesn't get more views and listens. David, may I ask if you are an actor or someone who uses his voice in the media (radio etc)? If not - you should. :)

Thank you, Gary. Yes, I was in broadcasting for my entire working life.. radio and TV. I was also a radio station owner for a time.. I have published some since I started writing again.. It seems to be an obsession with me. Thank you for reading
