Promises

A promise is just a promise
Until the evidence is shown
And ever since time began
God's Promises are known

The promise He made to Noah
As He put His Rainbow in the cloud
Still holds true today
As it shines so strong and proud

And then He promised Abraham
A nation to call His Own
A promise that God fulfilled once more
And now Israel calls it home

He promised us a Saviour
That would take our sins away
And I am the forgiven evidence
That His Promise still lives today
