Promises

Promises are bestowed
Pledges made from their hearts
Precious vows of marriage
Proclaiming troths of love
Plighted to each other
Personified with rings
Partners 'til death do part

Very descriptive of the marriage vows. How many people even think about what those vows mean? Congrats on your winner. Way to go. Sara

Too many say them as just empty words, perhaps meant at the time, but lose their importance at the first sign of trouble. Thanks, Sara.

How sweet and sentimental without being overly mawkish. A lovely read and a well deserved first place!

Hi Jenna, You used the letter P very well in this well-written Pleiades. You captured what marriage is all about. This should do well in the contest. Best wishes in the contest. PS, Nice painting too. Did you paint it? If so, you're a good artist. Enjoy the rest of your day and weekend:-) Alexis

You captured the wedding vows well in your pleiades Jenna. Mine are a blur now but it only seems like yesterday. Hope weekend is going well. Tom

Hi Tom. your vows may be blurred, but your love certainly is not. Thanks for everything. Weekend is rainy but I like it. Hopes yours is 'spiffy!'
