Promised Land

Past lucid doors and seven seas
Through outer thoughts and inner dreams
Far beyond our last few words
And past the waves a voice is heard

Inside a world of past mistakes
We’re giving up before we wake
Within the fear of every mind
We’re sinking deep before we find

Throughout a world of emptiness
Light and dark now hide from us
There are so many points of view
Through fighting eyes you’re finding you

Past safety’s arms and illusionists
Through lovers eyes and their hypnotists
Far away in a distant plain
Far past the choice and everyone we blame

Outside my mind but inside my heart
Stands places new and another start
Inside the dream of another world
I remind myself of everything I held

Past my own fire stands another place
Through my own dreams I recall its face
Far away but within my hands
There is a hope and there are promised lands
