Promise Land

tears inside, no one sees,
oh lord how my heart cries out to thee,
distractions and persuations from everyside,
oh how i long to just crawl up and hide,
hide me in your heart, take me away,
take me, lord, to a better place,
a place where motives are not misleading,
as i cry these tears, i can see everything clearly,
i could fill this cup with pain and sorrow,
but i know for my future i'll see better tomarrows,
for what my god promises me, no one could ever take,
through every misleading and every mistake,
he marks my steps with assurance at hand,
he will guide me to his promise land.
