prohibition cancelled

eighteenth amendment
national prohibition
thirteen awful years

led by protestants
fearing evil of liquor
handcuffed alcohol

policemen were paid off
bootleggers became wealthy
speakeasies crept up

cancelled years later
by 21st amendment
drinking continues
