Prisoner

I don't believe in getting angry
and arguing over things
yet there are people who do sadly
as does a bee that stings

why can't people be friends
and love as the Bible says
instead a relationship ends
tis what it does

are we doomed to this behavior
or will it one day lend
finding success and not failure
in the message we send

weary as I walk alone
in my reasoning
though heavy I carry the stone
tired as I'm weakening

soon strength I'll regain
as time passes through
and joy will remain
for now my time is due

Hello Angela ... sadly, there appears to be so many distractions in these times and too often broken relationships and hearts become the first tragedy - thank you Angela - Lindsay

Tempers flare when opinions are different we have seen this happening in politics between the Democrats and Republicans, it happens so often (sadly) within families which is much sadder - the truths is difficult to bear and can be a burden - 'why can't people be friends and love as the Bible says'. Deep and thought provoking write Angela, Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

So profound the poem, Dear Angela, yet the joy you touch upon is in the poetry you create for us all.

Your message comes through clearly, Angela. Unfortunately we don't all reason the same, so all we can do is try and diplomatically put up with such situations! ~ Best regards // paul

So deep are your thoughts in this almost simple way of conveying your ideas. Except that I wonder why your time is due. I hope all is well with you. Happy Easter.

Your emotional introspection is deep-reaching, Angela. Whatever happened to tolerance? Your poem is both reality and spirituality. Wistful yet hopeful poetry. Compelling and intriguing as always, my inspiring friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
