Prison Life

Prison life
Written 5-4-07 Edited 5-5-07

Your locked up inside
 For years at once
 With a future waiting ahead
You try to reach
 But it slips away
Gradually you back down
While your life fades slowly
You want to escape your past
But can only move forward
The choices run through your head
Followed by the actions you take everyday
Your love bit by bit disappears
Nothing but the hate you seek
 But then someone shows up
A beautiful sixteen year old girl
She encourages you to believe
 You rise off your knees
Move steps further
 And achieved a brighter future...
A whole new life
