Prison
The worse prison in the world has no bars
But all the same leaves them scars
The hurtful word
All too seldom heard
Puts thoughts in your head
Sows the seeds it has been fed
Makes one feel dumb
Sometimes just numb
Makes you feel unworthy to be around
The victim pleads but has no sound
In silence they are bound
Seems no one does care
To acknowledge , you don't dare
No hope for a future
No one there to nurture
The darkness comes towards you
You believe things that aren't true
Acknowledge that which is fake
Slows the progress of each step you take
You feel you are drowning
The world stares at you frowning
The darkness takes hold
Can't hear a word your told
Stop feeling so bold
No where is there light
Darkness so thick it's a visible fight
To fight this all day
To not give in and let it have it's way
Strength,down deep inside
Becomes your guide
Leads your way
Helps you survive the day
Thank yourself for this gift
Use it to give yourself a lift .
