Prism

Prism

                                      Driving wild
                               Bending over corners
Racing on curved rainbow colored roads
Without sleep my gal and I just keep on trucking
Like a couple of lost prisms fractured by the lightning strikes
In turn, we reflect on branching roads, break of day, and make our way back home

Hi Brenda, Thank you so much. In reality I would never drive a big rig truck. I was keeping in the spirit of the Jon Bonjovi tune, "It's My Life." (The tractor trailer blew up in the video that accompanied this tune.) Congratulations to you too on your excellent win in this contest. Have a very Happy New Year. Take care. Earl

Hi Jan! Thank you so much. What are the chances of you and I getting 6th. place? I would have preferred we both garner a couple of 1's. Still, it is very nice to win. Congratulations to you on your win. Take care and have a great and Happy New Year. Earl

Hi Rhonda. Thank you so much. I read your Birth Of Dawn yesterday. I did not want to comment on it until the contest results were in. Your poem is great. My poem was item #5 Jon Bonjovie's big trucker tune; "It's My Life." It is actually a great driving song and similar to Born to Run by Springsteen. I wish you luck in the contest with your excellent write. Earl

Good morning Jan. Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed this structured one. I just now posted a crazy prism poem called "Prisms Holes." I'm long over due for a silly write. This poem was a struggle. Have a lovely day. Earl
