Priorities

Priorities

A bidding war is raging
People watch in awe
It’s reached a million dollars
And still they’re bidding more
Money it means nothing
Wealth is naught but lies
Another million dollars
As they chase this greatest prize
Diamonds by the truck load
Gold bars by the ton
The bids they keep on coming
Till one man finally won
His fortune now depleted
Every pennies worth
For the last fresh bottled water
On this our planet Earth
