Princess Plays With Phantom Dragon
She was in her garden, choosing fruit when she accidentally
Called phantom dragon from the depths of her dream soul
He came running, ready to help her do whatever she wanted
She laughed at his eager enthusiasm, and petted him.
With each stroke he seemed to calm down a bit more.
I apologize she told him, I have no desires at the moment.
Except to eat this apple.
He gave her a sideways glance,
and she threw it to him.
He tried to catch it, but missed.
They both laughed,
thrilled with each other
Onlookers shook their heads,
seeing a foolish queen
not understanding her
vivid imagination
fearing her unique ways
