Prince Or Pauper

Everyone's aware of their place in the world Prince or pauper, rich or poor It's very seldon one class transends to the other Most are locked in forever more 'Tis so very sad but true of our class system We must try but not confuse Much as we'd like to crash through the barrier There are so many factors infused Lotteries are probably the only factor of change That didn't depend on hereditary Not being accustomed to such sudden wealth Losing a fortune we become wary We're all aware of where we stand in the world Prince or pauper, rich or poor

We met a lottery winner couple once on one of our travels many years ago. They looked lost, as if they didnt know how to 'be' themselves. One minute they wanted to be with the 'ordinary' crowd, next with the 'jet setters' Life is strange ? food for thought poem you wrote Jack. j.
