Pride
It can make us or break us
help us to see the light or make us blind
It can give us the strength to carry out our day
or make us cringe in fear when someone acts our way
Our family is the strongest form of this emotion
it takes years not seconds to build such devotion
While others envy at what we had or have
they’ll do anything to have that feeling,
even if it makes you sad
For it is something we have to find within ourselves
and not get approval from others that lend out help
If you have to take a stand for what is right
instead of backing down from a fight, pride is there
When you love someone more than anything and defend them,
pride is there
When you give your all to make everybody happy, pride is there
No rest for the weary, no running, no hiding
if you loose your pride, you will be living while dying.
