Pride

I freed
Pride

A long time
Ago-

I closed that
Illusionary
Window-

Jive time
Ego

Took wings
And flew
Away-

That was a
Wonderful
Day-

So I began
To write

What I thought
Was right-

Poetry has its
Own
Mind

It never follows
Suggestions

Or
Advice-

It's completely
Free

To follow only
What it thinks

Is right-

Right or 
Wrong

The writers words
Stands on

Its
Own

Just That Archaic Poet September 29, 2013 at 9:00 AM Interesting piece and interesting structure. You have some good verses here and there. The format is really the only thing I find aesthetically displeasing; I wish the verses had been more tightly packed together, but that's just a personal preference of mine. All in all, pretty good write :)
