Pride

What an evil trait is pride,
Something truly hard to hide;
Coming from so deep inside,
Talking people for such a ride.
From where does this bad habit develop?
Why not let to not envelop.
For is not pride a mortal sin?
Used blatantly even on kith and kin.
Try to purge your soul of this,
You’ll immediately experience heavenly bliss.
But if you do not eradicate pride.
There’ll always be a rising tide.
Pride is the part where you kiss and tell,
A certain ticket to satan’s firey hell.
