Priceless Treasure

Priceless Treasure “44 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” Matt 13:44 NIV God’s word in a priceless treasure When its wisdom is found But few bother to search And be taken to higher ground They follow the teachings of man Because that’s so easy Don’t ask the Holy Spirit Rather tend to seek the clergy. There’s nothing like a soul Whose honestly searching to find The truth of man’s existence And his future by God designed. To search the pages of God’s word Is to seek for Priceless Treasure That can be found therein In unequalled joy a measure. Heaven must be frustrated To see how casual we can be Not bother about our future So self-engrossed in this life’s flurry Did you know we’ve been given All the wisdom that we need To live a life of worth And to heaven can accede? If the kingdom of heaven Is like hidden treasure Why are we not all searching Diligently at any length and any measure? I guess it’s because we’re deluded To the seriousness of sin And think that regardless, We still have a chance, eternity to win. Copyright © 2009-2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com
