Price We Pay
Price We Pay
Rising in the morning
we turn to face the day.
Hustle bustle rise and shine
we go along our way.
Missing birds up in the trees
and flowers that are growing.
Missing everything it seems
of things that we aren't knowing.
Skipping over things unseen
and lessons we aren't learning.
One more way a price we pay
for daylight that we're burning.
