Pretty Lies

The things you
didn't have to say
were swirling around
your lips today.

Annoying gossip pelted
me like hurricanes.
Didn't dare to stop them-
I know it would be in vain.

Let my tears
fade away.
There's no point crying
over the spilled latte.
