Pretending

Pretending
____________________________

I long to see your face,
to touch your hand once more
let's be close once again
as we have been before.

I can only use my imagination,
I talk into thin air
I pretend you are still here with me
to let you know I care.

It doesn't feel like you're gone,
but I know that isn't so
and the hardest thing i've had to do
is simply let you go.

But one day when the time is right,
I know we shall meet again
and you're always in my heart
my Mom, and dearest friend.
