Pretend

I love how we pretend that I don’t feel anything for you. As if it really were a clean slate. As if you never even knew. I love how you pretend how I don’t turn bright red, whenever you come close. As if I don’t like you in that way. As if I only see you as a friend. I love how you pretended not to notice that I secretly like playing spin the bottle. When you kissed me on the cheek. Just like little kids. I hate how you pretend not to notice things I want you to know. B ut I love how you don’t hate me for those things.
