Pretence Makes My Day
The nonpareil,
on cloud nine part of my day is dawn!
Wake up from a dream, and behold!
You are beside me!
Close my eyes again,
feigning to sleep,
I imagine,
you are going to kiss on my closed eyes
to notify - it's morning.
Frisky birds chattering,
a strip of sunlight peeping through the wooden blinds,
I, as mischievous as I am,
pose not to hear you,
Pretend to fall back in deeper slumber
just to have that kiss one more time!
