Predicament

There are eyes tonight so far away
I know they are cloudy with tears
There's a heart tonight that melts away
And O what silent grief it bears
And the eyes have seen too much wrath
And the heart still keeps a grim path

The stars tonight are lonely and gray
And the sound of rain is so real
I must remember men are but clay
And nothing against the sun's zeal
And time has only callous hands
And England too has cliff of sands

This is really quite good, "And the eyes have seen too much wrath" - like that line especially. The whole poem flows well.
