Predator Or Prey

In this world of God's creation
Even in this wondrous nation
two conditions mark the way
Which one are you
Predator or Prey

Everything eats something
And something eats something else
Money power position and fame
wealth and celebrity are the game
money is the root of evil
and the cause of most upheaval

Wall street wins and brags of gain
Main Street suffers only pain
You may try to play the game
With little chance of gain or fame
More likely suffer loss and pay
Which one are you
Predator or Prey

Howard, I can identify with where you are coming from. All of your poems deserve validation but in trying to read as much as possible I simply do not have the time comment on every poem I read. You are obviously an excellent writer with much vision.

Thank you Daniel. I'm an accidental poet. I've only been at this less than two years. The poems come to me usually as just an idea with a rhyme attached. Then I obsess and there's a poem. Thanks for the compliment and the read. I truly understand the time problem. So much to read here.
