Precious Planet

This planet’s golden day
changed by a primate stray
that worked its evil way
and all rules disobey,
driving species away.

What was the golden day
has become grubby grey.
Now I have had my say,
I will without delay
be off and go my way.

Good poem Tony.... I'm not worried, the planet will do what the planet wants, we are but ants in the universe, all life adapts, we think much too highly of ourselves, the maunder minimum will secede soon, 13 below out here in Minnesota, where's global warming when you need it!

Thanks James. If only we had the social structure of the ant we may not be in this mess. For Minnesota - batten down the hatches, huddle together, eat plenty of the porridge. Worst we've had it here in UK is minus 27C. But we surived. Tony

Man became too clever for his own good and will one day destroy this precious planet. Merry Christmas Tony and a happy new year. Tom

Thanks Tom. I just wonder where mankind is going. Methinks he's clutching at straws and fears the worst. Have an good Christmas. Best wishes. Tony

Man, the "naked ape" has tormented, trampled our planet in an extremely debilitating way. Shame! Humans need to dig deep within and see if there's any dignity left. Tony, you succinctly described man's destructive ways. A great write!...ab

Many thanks Anselmo. Mankind has got it wrong. / We can't go on and on. / We think we'll change our way. / But at a later day. / Best wishes. Tony
