Precious Moments

As a child,
life was so simple,
In my memories and photos,
I genuinely smiled...
I played in the fresh air,
without any kind of care....

The rain and each rain drop fascinated me,
The clouds, with their unique shapes, made me feel free,
The world was a friendly place of discovery and fun....

Each new day was lived with 'total presence',
the 'here and now' provided a beautiful essence,
with each new moment giving wonder and joy,
in a world of fascination and beauty untold....

There was no striving to attain 'something',
No craving for new thrills,
only beautiful present moments to make my heart sing.....

Precious moments of play were my life,
and provided joyous fulfillment,
Simple pleasures such as watching a butterfly in flight,
felt like they were heaven sent....

There were no past or future dreams,
causing restlessness,
There was only a life lived with total presence......

There was no wanting, seeking of worldly pleasures,
only enjoying the present moment without measure.
