Prayers For Peace
*The Coming of the Light*
Through the storm of morose memory,
The white, winsome, winters of night,
Arise reborn, all new beginnings,
So comes, the dawning of the Light.
Thrown off are coverings, which divide,
Those of cloth and coin held tight.
Open wide your hearts,
Let loose the tide,
Rejoice and welcome,
The coming of the Light.
*Soul Stance*
Dark the eve, but bright the dawn;
The sun returns, the Earth’s reborn.
Upon the turning and the chime,
Each race, each culture, God’s divine,
Yet within the ebb and flow,
Of blood and tide, the spirit goes….
Attempting with each opened mind,
To join the whole, for all of time……….
*Holy Days*
In the darkest days of Winter,
When only snow retains the glow
Of sunshine and summer days;
We go within our memories
To the heart of Home.
We peek deep within wide open doors ,
Full of light and hearth fires glow,
Full of warmth and wonder,
For the lore of Home.
These are the days most Holy,
Gifted by the Lord of Love;
True Holy days in the womb of wonder,
When we are welcomed home.
*God’s Side*
Between the between’s,
Where the vastness of Universes,
Comprise the backbone of cosmic structure.
Where comets create neural synapses;
And plasma pulses nourish black holes;
Where solar flares erupt,
Spewing spasms of information,
Into the abyss of space.
In this sublime endless, mindful, state;
Where neither up nor down,
Now, nor then, exist,
Where is God’s side?
*God’s Voice*
Whether Jesus comes to listen to you pray,
Or the Moon and the Stars show the way.
Whether Buddha sits smiling over all,
Or Allah listens from minarets tall.
Perhaps, Hindu Gods guard your dark nights.
Or Jehovah sees your candle lights.
The Sky Father may brighten your day,
Earth Mother’s eyes may watch as you play.
No matter the season or the choice.
Know,
All Goodness speaks with God’s voice.
Happy Holy Days
