Prayers Answered From Above

The plane landed; the text message arrived;
Everything was right on time.
Bob and Sallee had special permission
To get through the security line.

They could hardly wait, standing at the gate;
It felt like destiny; it felt like fate.
They watched lots of strangers with shuffling feet,
Searching for the person they were supposed to meet.

Finally, the last one through the jetway
With the package wrapped in her arms;
The lady from the adoption agency
Smiled a smile full of charm.

Bob and Sallee met their new child
And instantly fell in love;
Delivered from many miles away;
Prayers answered from above.

Is this a true account, Joe? Adoptive parents are always so happy to receive babies. If only every child were welcomed with so much love. Beautifully written and heartwarming. Love, Carolyn
