Prayer For Ukraine

Cry, beloved country, cry!
Mourn your sons and daughters, weep!
Fathers should be first to sleep,
            not be singing sorrowed lullaby.

Rage, beloved country, rage!
    Evil penetrates thy door.
        Trusting neighbor nevermore,
untimely death, a dour, bitter wage.

Plead, beloved country, plead!
Call the nations to thy side.
Clang the bell both far and wide!
Harken all to join in time of need.

Fight, beloved country, fight!
    Rally every ounce of strength.
        Spare no measure, any length.
Dawn will soon break over this dark night.

Pray, beloved country, pray.
God has heard your sad lament.
Breaking forth, the Son is sent,
            comes the joyful resurrection day!

Robert, should be very proud, Jeff, of how you incorporated some very fine words into his Lind30sr form, it makes for very good reading, and visual, my hat off to you, Sir . . . : '

Exceptional verses for the much needed, and delayed, help with the debacle happening in Ukraine. Well written, Jeff.
