Prayer

Prayer

Like hands that open the curtains apart
May your hands do the same with my heart
And allow light from you to fully flood in
That daytime may rule where night-time had been

I wish nothing to be hidden from your loving concern
There's no bad way in me you cannot discern
So, search through me oh God and cleanse me of sin
That your spirit may find a home deep within.

Let the thoughts of my mind be a pleasure to you
That in all of my ways I'll do as you do
And never more to let go of your hand
So that you can lead me to the promised land
