Pralines and Cream

Pralines and cream
   a summer day's dream
A butterfly's wing
   make lover's hearts sing

A bouquet of roses
   in delicate poses
A necklace of pearls
   ~ for my special girl

Why do I have a sudden urge to be in love in New Orleans? Could it be that's where your poem lifted me away to? Yes, I took a trip 'and never left the farm.' Thanks for that, I had a memorable time ... CayCay

So, I guess you didn't take that 'City of New Orleans Train,' immortalized by Woody and Arlo Guthrie. Magic Carpet's a lot quicker. LOL... Thank you for such an extremely interesting comment, CayCay. :) gw
