Power and Greed
The world my friend is jam packed full of greed,
With no means of containing it, it runs wild like a field overrun with weeds.
Watered with hate and the need for power, it probably is the number one sin,
Where did it start, where did this problem begin?
For mankind I feel the Garden of Eden could have been the place,
Tempted by the devil that day they left a mark that time could not erase.
Unsatisfied with what they had, they wanted more,
And the gentleman that God was, He allowed them to enter that door.
God had told them not to eat from that tree,
But the devil enticed Eve, and the rest is pure history,
And from that day till this one each of us has tasted of that fruit handed down from that
tree,
Some more addicted than others to the taste don’t you see?
We really have to watch what we do to stay in Gods grace I guess is what I am trying to say,
God never intended for us to do without, but know when enough is enough and leave some for
someone else or another day.
Never be selfish with the trinkets that you own,
Anyway they’re gifts from God and the best has yet to be shown.
So be a servant for God and stay in His word,
And spread it to those who are lost and have not yet heard.
