Poverty

It taught me not to rely on anyone To stand up and sweat for my own benefit To decide by mind not by heart It shaped my vision and caused transition Gone to bed with hunger but still hoped for the best I'd sometimes think it's a curse How things took place wasn't fascinating And when people looked at me they saw nothing I sometimes lost friends because I had nothing Whenever I told my story they'd say I'm looking for attention Whenever I'd seek for help they'd say they're busy But that never stopped me from going Family would distance their selves Telling me to sort out myself How was I going to do that? They didn't wanna know

Now you made me cry. I felt your pain, your solitude, your hunger not to eat, but to have true friends who will feel with you and love you for who you are. Beautiful, i pray you will never need anybody. Stay strong. Love Terry xoxo
