Potential
Little one
It is so quiet right now but it won't always be
I am so close right now
See the stars?
There are so many that
You will never be able see them all
Let that always overwhelm you
I don't know what they will mean to you
I will hold you as close as I can
While I can
See the stars are so far away that some
Are no longer
I don't know what they will mean to you
You overwhelm me because I won't ever
Be able to see all of you
But you also overwhelmed me because
I saw the world was here before you
Seems impossible now
I am going to hold you close
In case you are a fleeting dream
I know some day you will want me to let go
Today I am thankful
That it is so far away that I can't see it yet
