Posterity May Not Understand

~ Posterity May Not Understand ~

Why I traipse five miles a day
              to whittle time away

            Idling in a safe daydream
              gazing at a listless stream

Nicely put. A five mile daydream is nothing to wake up for, indeed.

Good for your grandson. ROTC is a great program. Unfortunately, the initials pronounced together rhyme with 'Nazi' - which is what those Ivy League snobs used to call them, i.e., 'ROTC-Nazis.' By 1970, I believe, every single Ivy League campus had kicked ROTC off of campus. Those stupid, snobby, imbecilic, uneducated, leftists students' demands were embraced by even stupider, snobbier, and more pathetic administrators. (How do I know? I attended one of those snobby schools back then. That's how. Don't have one acquaintance, let alone friend, from those four years -- except for a ROTC man, who had to give up his scholarship). ~ gw

Traipsing five miles a day Is not whittling your time away It gives you mind a well earned rest Idling and dreaming at it's best.
