Post Election 2016

Protests, rage, fear and distress
Turn our nation to unrest
Will our country be divided
And our voices be united

Certain races shunned aside?
Will LGBT retain their pride
The election was decided
But emotions aren’t subsiding

Our programs, will they close?
And pro-choice get a favorable vote
What of our freedom will remain
And will the economy sustain

We move forward but the apprehension’s arising
Anxiety is on the horizon
Let our passion rule the world
Continue to advocate for what we’ve fighting for
