Positive Thoughts In Negative Times

As the sun rises on this day
I kneel down and begin to pray
As sadness and pain take their toll
When my world seems so out of control
This is my prayer…

Lord, I ask you for your hand
I ask you for your love so grand
To guide me as I go day by day
Help me Lord to find my way
Back on my path going straight ahead
While unanswered questions surround my head.
It’s you I turn to for answers I can’t find
When my heart, soul and head are in a bind
Show me the way you want me to go
Fill me with the knowledge I need to grow
Because your love is my eternal flame
I ask you this in your holy name
Amen.

I stand to my feet and start my day
Light in heart and without dismay
With the knowledge and belief
That those in pain will find relief
And forgive all who do not know
That with negativity you cannot grow.
With the mindset that what is will be
I prayed this prayer for you and me.
And as this day turns into night
I see a fuller and brighter light
As I lay down in my bed
Positive thoughts and dreams surround my head
Sadness and pain for now are gone
Allowing me to move up and on
So the next day I come to face
I know where I stand I know my place
To know and to understand helps us shine
When we keep positive thoughts in negative times.
