Pondering

There is much in life about which we cannot be certain. What really happens, for example, after the final curtain? The answers are as varied as patterns in a kaleidoscope. Alive-minded mortals favor a few. citing faith, fear, hope. I long to be certain about what on earth is certifiably true. Is it a lover’s pledge of eternal devotion? I wish I knew. Do the far reaches of this universe have, in fact, no end? That idea swivels the mind, too much to comprehend. Still isn’t it enchanting to question, quiz, and wonder what this great drama is about before we go asunder?

Hello Paul ... life's questions indeed. I have often asked the question; 'where does the universe end?' I can't get my head around this and nobody appears to have an answer - thank you for posting this verse Paul - Lindsay

Thank you, Lindsay. As you suggest, there are some questions that exceed the ability of the human mind to answer. One of my favorite such questions is "Why is there anything. . . why is there not nothing?" Hugs, Paul

Thanks, Jan. Until you commented, I feared I had posted another loser. With every poem, you make the most of your life--and the lives of others, such is the magnitude of your talent. Hugs, Paul
