Pondering
I have often wondered why
Raindrops fall from the sky
Nothing in the air
Really wants them there
For it is the ground
That needs the water around
Why so many silent E’s
Seems like such a wastE to me
Wouldn’t spellers have less to fear
If vowels were more austeer? austere?
Why ten fingers and ten toes
I guess only God knows
Just one heart for heaven’s sake
When it’s so easy for hearts to break
