Pond

The water in the pond starts to dry
As the summer sun makes it's way across the sky
The young Canadian geese grow bigger each day
Enjoyed watching them learn and play
They have to be able to fly
Before the water does dry
As the parent try to teach
All the while keeping them out of harms reach
So peaceful I sit here
These memories I shall hold dear
The frogs noise, so noisy not to long ago
Grow more silent as the geese grow
Knowing before too long
From my life they will be gone
When they start to fly
So high
Across the sky
That they made it I'll be glad
But in my heart I'll feel a little sad
To see them go
Cause I watched them grow
