Polly the Planter

Is a strategy a slam of a door? Or another noise? Will you just please look over there... No no not there..... There...... Right in front of you.... Now come on please calm down For I am not speaking to you from under a table nor under a floorboard And neither am I speaking to you from a lectern or a screen In fact it is high time that I actually introduced myself I was born in the year 0 and my name is Pollyplanter Since birth I have been carried all over the world and I have contained a vast variety of plants From medicinal herbs in eastern sand temples To pretty adornments in country estates of the west I have also been sold over 500 times It is quite amazing to see that this century although differs somewhat in theme But is equal to others through sensations And also astounding is the treatment of what was once sacred Almost as if the humans of today are scared or just plain confined to a constricting thought weave I am glad to be clad with the dust of the stars Which became solid upon impact Then I was eventually discovered and utilised as a winter storing pot by the cave ones I was so fond of them all There was 'Cresha' 'Urlaub' and 'Ercra'. Quite a pleasant tribe I always got treated well and cleaned when necessary And I liked to watch the dance of the horns in the glows of the fires Although it became even more interesting when I got to travel with them In log boats And upon the sides of horses who when befriended through mouthfuls of food would allow the humans to ride them over the plains This was a lovely lovely time Perhaps I will share some more of my stories Not only of this time of cave But for now I will rest here upon this patio Bursting with my foliage soon due to dry as winter approaches But my green sides which trail will remain at this time And I will smile in contentment and watch the busy bustle around me with great amusement.
