I hear canaries crying, marginalized black birds In zones of pain I want therapy to bring wings more than words The people pray but need a king to march again If you are silent You concede the betrayal like a devil in your vein Wait, wait, the urgency's deterrent argument That fences cherry trees And leave minds in caverns of impoverishment No plan for us, no time table, the visions freeze At home, in peace But grow for Afghanistan the vampire's to please For as long as markets are needed wars will not cease Poverty persists As zones of pain inhabited by an invisible disease Where is the program
