Polar Extremes
I lost all sound when I heard what I’m hearing
The summer light is gone
I gave my eyes when the winter was nearing
But inner sight is driving on
Numbness asked me to become its saviour
I turned away and denied
The distance growing between every flavour
I marvelled on the design
Because I’m deaf and can not hear your silence
I treasure time alone
Without my sight I see the light’s defiance
This darkness is my own
Reflections fall and the seasons fade
The sun desires night
I look for freedom over every edge
But I’m still looking for some light
I’m still alive but I’m still undead
I’ve found the centre of my soul
I still know beauty but the world is red
I’m high above but so below
