Poison Berry Soup Please

Poison berry soup please
the girl looks to be about six-years-old.
Where is your mother? The waitress asks.

The girl does not answer, but shows her money
Give her Kool-aide, the cook suggests.
She had enough money for a piece of cake too.

She chose a piece of chocolate and asked if there were sprinkles.
There were not.
Happy Birthday to me, she sang. Best part of her day.

She stayed in the café a long time.
Not eager to go home to a sad house
Where her Daddy had left her Mommy’s body.

Life is not fair.... I hope this little girl is being cared for properly so she may be able to trust again. This could scar her for the rest of her life. Heartbreaking...

OMG! I don't know what to say through the tears for this little girl. Does she have a chance in life?

Yes she does; this happened to a real little girl except the daddy was still in the house drinking himself into oblivion and she followed a blood trail to her mommy's body in the basement. Worst part - she had to stay in the house all weekend waiting for school on Monday hoping he would not kill her too. She is 7. Living with relatives now.
