Pointless Repetition

Behind this masked debate
I can see what I become
Reflections of your window
So I look away towards the sun

Such a frightened thing
Such an animal of fear
The light has burnt my face
And now I’m coming back to here

This is just so endless
All this searching for the truth
Or are they just excuses?
I’m just too desperate and confused

Wading through the swamp
I’m becoming something new
Or is this just my sentence?
I see the darkness is on queue

If I can find your face
If I can just make it out of this
Perhaps I’ll start again
I think I’ll choose to contradict

Watch the empty land
Wait for death to come
I’m looking through the window
But now I’m staring at the sun
