Poignant Reflections

I watch you in my deepest despair
Falling from all you know and care
A life of uncertainty
Slowly driven down hill
Now my hands are tied
In vain, I cry
My tears fill
Pools to
Swim

Oh yes, this is a great piece of literature. Excellent use of the form, without the form intruding; it just flows sadly and beautifully. Love the straw of hope in the final line. Love, Nigel

Hi Laura This really tugs at my heartstrings. Which means within the sadness of this poem, it holds much depth and beauty for your inner heart really comes through here. This is something we all can relate to as some time or another in our lives. Hope all is well, sending good thoughts your way. Love Light Truth Patricia

That must be so painful, standing by as someone you love is sinking into quicksand. I'm so sorry, Laura. Hope for better days. ~ Carrie

Oh Laura, this is very sad. I feel your heart deeply, and your frustration at feeling helpless. Beautiful use of this form. I am truly hoping things change for the better. Love, Shar
