Poets Are Known For Temperament

Poems have long been written for rebuttal and dissent By those who have been smitten who wish to lament, Poets are known for temperament like all creative kinds Always given to intense argument with those of differing minds, Or differing views, if you choose, free speech is highly prized The most eloquent won’t likely lose but may be rather surprised.

I am laughing my petootsie off. "Poets are known for temperament like all creative kinds" - which is why I keep my poetry to myself - away from my profession. They already know I am weird because I am a cartoonist!

Ah, Caren, you are NOT weird. You are tremendously talented and you use your talents in an enriching way.

In a way it is a way of venting lol. You're right Milton. I think the great Poets are emotional and can turn that emotion into expressive projection. As always nicely worded with a great theme and expression...

Another eloquent Poem, Milt. Poetry allows the poet to speak freely about all manner of things stating their point of view at the time of writing. Other poets look at life through different glasses, which can change your thinking, making poetry learning progress. The point can benefit all poets if you beg to differ instead of arguing. Take care Shirley

How marvelously you've constructed your thoughts into words. I just told it like it is and relished every moment of doing so. I appreciate the strokes of your pen, Milt.
